NEW for 2008 - KOMODO
Live-Aboard Underwater Photo Trips
:

We have secured a live-aboard dive vessel for the 2008 season in the Komodo National Park. These trips depart from Labuhan Bajo on the island of Flores, only one hour motoring from the islands of the Komodo National Park.

Flights connecting Labuhan Bajo and Bali now depart daily. This allows divers the ability to fly from Bali to Flores and be onboard the live-aboard and dive the same day. Giving maximum time underwater at Komodo rather than travelling by sea for three days from Bali, which has been the accepted way to visit these remote islands until now.

This 30 metre-long traditional styled Pinisi Schooner, was built in Sulawesi in 2005. She is an ideal size for small dive groups, with a spacious fore-deck suited for dive preparation, with easy side access down to dive tenders. The boat features a large saloon area and spacious cabins each with their own ensuite toilets and showers. There are two dive masters onboard so that two groups divers can split-up to dive away from each other. It's crew know the local waters and dive sites intimately.

We will take advantage of sheltered/calm overnight anchorages among the islands and dive in the safest areas of the Komodo Island's, away from screaming currents and seek-out the area's rare and exotic marine life.
