Dive Tours for Underwater Photographers

What We Offer
Our dive tours are designed to give maximum flexibility to
your diving preferences. Some divers, particularly photographers like to visit
the same site over and over - No problem, we can arrange that! Other divers like
to see as many sites as possible - No problem, we can arrange that too! We try
to keep our customers as happy as possible by being as flexible as possible.
As we are based in Tulamben, we know the weather and sea
conditions first hand. Many of the dive operators that visit Tulamben have no
idea what conditions are like until they arrive each day. We see the changes on
a daily basis. Because of this we don't need to plan our diving itinerary ahead
of time. Dive sites for each day can be decided based on customers requests or
be guided by the sea conditions on each day. Most of our dive sites are
within five minutes drive of Tulamben village, one or two are ten minutes away.
But the furthest we drive is to the
Banyuning Reef area which is 45 minutes away. Nearly all of our dive sites are accessed from the shore. But
forget your commando training, these are easy shore entry's off of pebble or
sand beaches. At some locations there are local porters that carry heavy
equipment to within a few metres of the shore. Where there are no porters we
park very close to the entry and have only a few metres to walk with equipment. A few of our dive sites require a short boat journey, we use Jukung's
- the Balinese outrigger canoes to access these sites. This a great
experience as the boats are very stable and the journey is only a few minutes -
not enough time to feel sea-sick if you are that way inclined. Great views of
the coastline and the mountains as you approach the dive site. The Jukung
is tied off on a mooring buoy and divers drop in, then don their equipment in
the water. After the dive the Jukung picks-up divers from the surface and
returns back to the shore.
We do not conduct open ocean drift dives - all of our dives are
close to shore, safety is our number-one priority. As the ocean is so deep close
to the shore in Tulamben, there are no dive sites further from the shore than
around 100 metres.
Where We Dive
We dive on all the dive sites within Tulamben Bay, plus we dive at locations
both east and west of Tulamben where very few other dive operators visit. There
is so much variation in the type of dive sites that this whole area offers; From
muck dives with critters galore to boulders covered in soft corals - From wrecks
coated with sea fans to schools of swirling jacks. From shallow coral gardens to
shear walls. Each of our dive sites has something to enthral the photographer or
critter hunter.
